HPLBOE 3 Spoiled!!!

Daisy Dumbledore is absolutely awesome!!!

Here is what slid out of the box that her owl came with. :) Below is what I unwrapped!

A lovely skein of Socks that Rock! This is my first skein from this company. I have heard of its greatness from my knit group and Daisy mentioned that she loves this yarn as well.

An awesome knit potato chip scarf (if I am using the right term). It is soooo soft and I love the black and purple together. It is a super cute scarf that I will be wearing while it is still chilly this Spring.

Coffee goodies! Need I say more? Mmmm the coffee smells so nummy, I can't wait to brew some. An adorable felted cup cozy. Perfect for protecting my hand from heat and damp cups. And something that I have not had in awhile... chocolate covered coffee beans. I am going to be wired ;)

Look at this cute Slytherin bag! The fabric looks like snake skin hehehehehe ^_^ It is perfect to take along with me and hold miscellaneous projects/ items.

Here is the awesome personalized zipper fob that she made as well ;) What an awesome idea!

And some delicious chocolates and biscotti. Sadly within 5 minutes of taking this picture, less than half of these items remain. My family always loves it when I get goodies in my swap packages.

Thank you so very much Daisy!!! I love everything so very much! You spoiled me so very well :D

Assignments Already??? Bleh ;)

Well one of our first tasks is to write about why we chose the three characters we did...

The three characters that I chose were Severus Snape, Draco Malfoy, and Bellatrix Lestrange.

I enjoy all three of these characters, their personalities, development of them over time ; although the first two are more well known that the third.

Snape rocks because he is basically a potion master. I love potions (chemistry and herbology) and find it completely fascinating. I also in the past, have created my own potions for a variety of things. Also as revealed in a small glimpse of his home he seems to be quite the book collector, and I can totally identify with that because I am as well. I love old and first edition tomes. I also love his sense of style, who doesn't love black?

Draco Malfoy always intrigued me as a character because he always seemed to display a facade to everyone and not let anyone see what was truly underneath. I think this was mainly due to him wanting to live up to the expectations of his parents, notably his father. Unfortunately he also seemed to love attention of any kind, even if it was negative attention. My theory for this is that he was overlooked at home. Basically like the parrot syndrome.

Bellatrix Lestrange always seemed to me like the one seeking love and acceptance and would do anything to achieve it, even follow an evil wizard to the death. While this path ultimately led to her doom, I in my own pursuits of love and acceptance have been led down a similar although less severe one.

A New Term is Near!

A new term at Hogwarts is starting up on the 22nd. With luck we will be receiving our matches on the 25th. This will tell us who we will be spoiling and getting spoiled by! ^_^ I cannot wait to be back in the Slytherin dungeon. It is so nice and dark down there... ahhh home sweet home. Here is a picture of me reading on the couch with Stig ;)
