Why? Why? Whyyyy???

***Just when I was thinking things are going well and I am sailing through my work... I hit a wall. I just got slammed by big projects for finals. To make matters worse, we also have a good amount of normal asignments that are due as well. I'm even ::gasp:: thinking of joining a study/ homework group. I know, how unSlytherin-like of me!!! Part of me wants to blow off my work and just enjoy myself. And the other part of me knows that I will never hear the end of it from my parents if I do.

***On a positive note, I had alot of fun gathering and making the items that I just sent off to my fellow housemates. I really hope they enjoy them as much as I did making them. The owls just took flight yesterday, so I hope it reaches them before the end of the week. At the latest they should have their packages by Monday.

***Well... I can tell that this is just postponing what needs to get done. I guess I better get cracking on my assignments. Can you feel the excitement... joy

More RAOKs In the Making

I have two awesome RAOK packages that are going to be taking flight soon. I'm not sure if Stig is going to take both packages. The recipients are at opposite ends of the country. I might have to call in some extra help from the post for these. Stay tuned for details and pictures!

Update! 3/26 - 1pm

The packages took off from the post on Tuesday. They should reach their destinations by Saturday, or Monday at the latest... hopefully.

3/26 - 5pm

I just checked status of my packages. The one heading to the west coast is still in transit. The one that headed to the east coast has landed at the city post. It should hopefully be delivered today, if not tomorrow.

8pm

The west cost package arrived as well. Those owls are really fast :) Queen Frysia's arrived and another fellow Slytherin should have a package at her doorstep as well.

9pm

I am so happy to hear that Lav DD's package also arrived. I always get nervous once the owls leave my sight. Now I know they made their deliveries safely, I can almost relax. Won't be done relaxing until they are back at the owlery though.

Hooray for the Malfunction of Technical and Electrical Devises

Well my life just became a bit more complicated.

In the midst of doing things I have lost power to my computer. Once that power came back on, my internet connection continued to stay lost. I hate it when electrical equipment refuse to cooperate with me. Try as I might... charms haven't even worked :( I guess I shall have to wait it out. No matter how much I hate to wait...

In other news...
I bumped (well more like knocked him over as I was getting up from the table) into this yummy boy in the great hall. Lucien is his name and he is a fellow Slytherin... I can't wait to track him down later. He has lovely inky black hair, silver eyes, and milky pale skin.... I'm not sure what year he is but I don't think he could be too far ahead of me. At least I hope not. Nummy nummy details to follow once I track his dreamy butt down.

ROAK pics

• These are pics of the RAOK that was sent to Prendolyn the Weird. I found the awesome yarn at a local lys. I loved the colors and the texture. The little bag I made from cotton yarn and is the perfect size for a small project/ball of yarn. I also made the stitch holders. I did them in Gryff colors and they can be used for both crochet and knitting.

I have been stunned!!! Congrats to Fleur Dolohov. The hat is absolutely beautiful. Thank you also for the adorable notepad and magnet.

Snow Day!!!

Classes have been canceled... what to do? More like what to do first. ;)

I had to make sure that Athena was snuggly warm. It's not good for her to get cold. I made her a nice little nest with some hot water bottles and plenty of blankets. She loves to play in the blankets. It's like a cavern for her, always something new to explore.

After making sure that Athena was comfy and going to be entertained for a few hours, I decided to take a trip to the school's owlery to check on the baby owls and the others. I enjoy taking care of the owls; they really are sweet animals. When I got there, the owlery was not very warm and the owls did not seem happy. I made a fire in a cast iron pit to somewhat warm the area.

After leaving the adorable fluff-balls I made my way back towards the pit. I have plenty of fiber work to do. I hope no one really minds me stinking up the place with my wet sheep and dye smell. At least I am using lemon juice instead of vinegar (ick) so not everyone will want me dead.

I fear that I am going to lose this duel. The work is really kicking my butt. I am trying as hard as I can to get things right only to have to start over again. Wish me luck. There's always another time to try my hand at it agin. Who knows.

I hope Stig returns soon. I really do miss that ball of feathers when he is gone.

Better head back and check on Athena.

A RAOK Might Be Coming To You Soon

Keep on the lookout for Stig. He just might be headed your way. He took flight on Tuesday. I hope he arrives to his destination no later than Saturday. Actually, I hope he is back by Saturday. ;) I have other packages to send out as well. I will post pictures as soon as I am sure he has completed his delivery.

Have You Seen This Owl?

This is Hermoine Bagnold's owl Persephone. I fear something has happened to her. For all those in the midwest keep an eye out for her. Her travel has brought her from as far away as Italy. I am sure she is completely exhausted. If anyone spots her, kindly see to her needs and send her on her way so she can complete her delivery. Getting lost has given me the win for dueling round one, but I hope she is okay. Please, if anyone sees her let me or Hermoine know. We are both worried about her.

UPDATE!!!!!

Persephone just arrived bringing me a beautiful hat and some delicious Ritter Sport chocolates (some aleady eaten when picture was taken... they are just too nummy) Here is a picture of what was sent. Persephone is completely tired. I am keeping her overnight so she will be fed and rested before returning to Hermoine.
